Dr. Jerad Kosek earned both his Master’s and PhD in Kinesiology from Auburn University, where he conducted research in the Sports Biomechanics Lab. He completed his undergraduate studies in Exercise Science at the College at Brockport, State University of New York, in 2019.
Dr. Kosek's research spans a diverse range of topics, including biomechanics in able-bodied athletes, wheelchair basketball players, shoe design, and canine walking gait. His work also encompasses gait and movement analysis aimed at enhancing sports performance and alleviating pain.
With a strong commitment to advancing the field of biomechanics, Dr. Kosek focuses on helping individuals move more efficiently, effectively, and pain-free. He is also passionate about mentoring students, supporting them as they explore and pursue their own research interests and career goals.

Miller's Full Biography
Acknowledged as a leading expert in the field of exercise and neuromuscular physiology, Dr. Miller's expertise is well-respected within the academic community. His contributions include serving as a reviewer for multiple peer-reviewed scientific journals and presenting at regional and national conferences. With a proven track record, they have authored multiple research grant proposals, developed research budgets, and conducted thorough analysis of experimental data.
Dr. Miller's impressive research background includes authoring and co-authoring over 15 publications in peer-reviewed journals. His studies have focused on examining the acute neuromuscular and cardiovascular responses in both healthy and clinical populations, utilizing exercise as an intervention. Driven by a passion for collaboration and interdisciplinary research, Dr. Miller embraces the intersection of exercise and neuromuscular physiology to innovate and improve outcomes for individuals under clinical care.
Beyond his research and teaching, Dr. Miller is committed to mentoring students and guiding them towards success in their academic and professional pursuits. With his extensive expertise in exercise and neuromuscular physiology, he inspires students to develop a solid foundation in the subject matter and become future leaders in the field.
Dr. Jessica Snow
Assistant Professor of Health Sciences
Dr. Snow joined the UE School of Health Science faculty in 2023 after 9 years in a faculty position at New Mexico Highlands University. Dr. Snow’s research experience centers on understanding pulmonary hypertension, or high blood pressure in the lungs. She received her Ph.D. in 2009 from the University of New Mexico School of Medicine and her B.S. in Biology from the University of Illinois in 2003.
At UE, Dr. Snow teaches Anatomy and Physiology, Cardiac Rehab, Nutrition and other related Exercise Science courses. Her current research interests lie in improving the teaching and learning of Anatomy and Physiology
Outside of academia she enjoys running, reading, watching her kids’ sports, cooking, tending to her chickens, and cheering for the Purple Aces. She and her husband Craig (UE Alum, class of 2001) have three kids- Adelynn (15), Beckett (12) and Alannah (3).
