There are two student organizations specific to the Electrical Engineering program. Students are encouraged to get involved with these organizations while at UE.

University of Evansville Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE)

IEEE is “dedicated to advancing technological innovation and excellence for the benefit of humanity.” The UE chapter sponsors events and projects throughout the year.

Eta Kappa Nu

A scholastic honors society, Eta Kappa Nu was developed to encourage and recognize “excellence in the IEEE-designated fields of interest,” which include: engineering, computer sciences and information technology, physical sciences, biological and medical sciences, mathematics, technical communications, education, management, law, and policy. The organization offers numerous award programs to promote educational excellence.
