Lead-Based Paint Information
Lead Warning Statement
Housing built before 1978 may contain lead-based paint. Lead from paint, paint chips, and dust can pose health hazards if not managed properly. Lead exposure is especially harmful to young children and pregnant women. Before renting pre-1978 housing, the University must disclose the presence of known lead-based paint and/or lead-based paint hazards in the dwelling. Residents must also receive a federally approved pamphlet on lead poisoning prevention (See below).
Potentially Affected Housing
Any Village Units built before 1978 are potentially affected as part of this Lead Disclosure. This includes the following areas:
- Weinbach Apartments
- Lincoln Park Apartments

If you plan to live in one of these properties, please read the pamphlet Protect Your Family from Lead in Your Home.
The University will send a disclosure form to all residents who plan live in the Weinbach Apartments, Lincoln Park Apartments, University Apartments, or University Houses prior to move-in.
