Halie Fain, a junior neuroscience major and UE softball infielder, took a brave leap of faith when she transferred to UE after spending her freshman year at a much larger school. She wanted to find an academic home where she was more than just a number, and she found that with her softball team and the rest of her new family at UE. Now she recognizes a smiling face everywhere she turns, plus she volunteers for the Humane Society’s Cardio for Canines program.

Halie didn’t settle for the easy solution. She kept working until she found the right one. The University of Evansville is proud to help students like Halie find a place to call home.
